Jade & sam
April 2014 saw another Tinder romance blossom. Jade was living in Port Augusta, and Sam was living an hour down the road in Port Pirie. That year saw many km’s racked up on both their vehicles, until Christmas of that year when Jade made the move to be with Sam. 2 years later, on a surprise cruise, Sam asked Jade to marry him, which was met with an overwhelming yes.
Jade has always loved the Clare Valley for its natural beauty, but it wasn’t until visiting friends that lived in the area, that they knew it’s where they would get married. Upon driving through the front gates of Hughes Park, they instantly knew that that was the place they would exchange their vowels, with the Clare Golf Club the destination that would see their reception.
Jade found the wedding planning process stressful, but noted that having lots of time to do your research on vendors, made it a whole lot easier. That being said, there were a few bumps involved along the way, including the soon to be groom breaking his ankle months out from the wedding. Despite all of their challenges along the way, the couple say this made their day more important, knowing they had ‘made it’.
They day saw 120 guests attend their wedding, and the Clare Valley put on a spectacular 20 degrees for the whole day. The bride and groom struggle to pin point just one highlight of their day, noting that they simply, just want to do it all over again!
