amy & adam

You’d be hard-pressed to find an event with more personalised and handmade details than the wedding of Amy Watson and Adam Mudge. From the tailor-made photo booth props to the handcrafted bridesmaid’s jewellery, nearly every detail of their wedding was customised for the day.

Some were purely for fun, like the bridesmaids’ brooches that reflected their personality; a starfish for the ecologist, an owl for the librarian and Tinkerbell for the Disney-loving teacher. Others were sentimental, like the grape vine cuttings from Adam's family’s vineyard which formed part of the table centers.

It’s clear Amy and Adam are not afraid of colour, infusing all the colours of the rainbow into their styling. Each bouquet was a different colour, matching the bridesmaid’s shoes and the groom’s party had matching, colourful socks, buttonhole flowers and suspenders. Fittingly, the bridesmaids walked down the aisle to an acoustic version of “Somewhere over the Rainbow”.

The fun didn’t stop with the lollies. Guests enjoyed yard games on the lawn, including the horseshoe toss, with the horseshoes sourced from a local blacksmith. And a photo booth with handmade moustaches, lips and a variety of vintage props gave guests the green light for lots of larking about.

Carrying on the day’s theme, Amy’s maid of honour entertained the crowd with a personalised version of “Love Story” by Taylor Swift. On the dance floor, the bride and groom performed a surprise dance, and followed this up by playing a montage of their family and friend’s wedding songs, to attract everyone to the dance floor.
